When you read The Soft Machine You will scratch through this with red felt tips That's you and me Falling out Because you've no idea what I'm on about Well, it's crass but honest too And we both know it's true For what you say and what you do Outside, there's a black dog Coming after you For all that you say and what you do Outside, there's a black dog Coming after you Through the trees It bares its teeth With a knowing grin It pulls you in And I am sure it's pleased By what you dream All those crass friendships And women's hips.

Game Cube 03:42
In the quiet of the night, there are monsters trying the handle of your door, and I am sorry I had to expose you to the things that you can easily ignore If you want, you can end it slowly Spare yourself from the pain you might endure And all those ghosts that would dance Macabre To the lights of your GameCube on the floor It's a solitary life in your bedroom; behind the curtains, you'll see a world that has found you out And those people you love will forget you; they are staring at you it's a reason to stop indoors

One for sorrow, Two for joy, Three for a girl, Four for a boy, Five for silver, Six for gold, Seven for a secret never to be told - Traditional song / Nursery Rhyme
4.
You laugh like a haunted house You don't let other people talk Bad thoughts that creep into you Like sex on sertraline And all the posh lads are in punk bands All the posh girls can play guitar As they come watch them go because at this point in your life You're better off unknown You dream of a tortured past but you've got somewhere to fall
5.
Don't leave....please Is what I want said. Tell them I once was ... A warrior, a Poet, and now I'm dead Rescue me but don't let them see, tell them I rescued you and when they call my name it'll be such a shame if we don't see fireworks too Leave it out/Pack it in my love As below then so above I'm in love with you and there's nowt that you can do

about

Shadow Work is not only the result of a year's or so's worth of songwriting but of serious work on myself. It's soaked in electronic harmony, attacking lyrics and voices from another place.
It isn't self-pitying I promise. It's an assurance that when I meet The end of all things, I will tell it I had a wonderful time.

about

Lewis Paul Marrow Hull, UK

Rough-hewn heavy set muso with a talent for writing exposing heartfelt lyrics and gut-churning one-liners. Lewis combines the lyrical and musical nuance of modern alternative singer songwriters with the Punk/DIY sensibilities of the best working class performance poets to deliver a performance that is both too aggressive and sad at the same time. ... more
